Banana Pudding
Have you heard of Magnolia Bakery? They’re a super popular bakery most well known for their banana pudding, but did you know that they use instant pudding mix?! Even so, their banana pudding is still delicious haha. But did you also know that making banana pudding at home is super easy and so much cheaper? You can also use instant pudding mix if you like, but I like to make my pudding from scratch :)
Flourless Chocolate Cake
I love making flourless chocolate cakes as a birthday gift to friends. It’s so simple and easy to make yet tastes delicious! Also, I usually have all of the ingredients on hand. Can you believe that this cake consists of mainly four ingredients?! It has the perfect delicate balance between decadence and lightness. You should definitely give it a try!
Grapefruit Bundt Cake
I love all types of citrus and this is especially true for grapefruits! They’re tart with a tinge of sweetness. That’s why, when I saw this recipe for a grapefruit bundt cake years ago, I had to try it. I tried it. I love it! Haha.
Corn Mochi Cake
I have a friend who loves corn and rice cake, so when I saw this recipe online one day, I knew it would be the perfect birthday treat for her! That’s why I made this and found it to be so tasty yet easy to make! You just throw everything in a blender to mix and then bake. It has the springiness of mochi and the sweetness of corn.
Spicy Dried Squid (오징어채 무침)
Ojingeochae muchim (오징어채 무침) is a Korean side dish consisting of shredded dried squid which is covered in a delicious spicy and sweet gochujang seasoning. This was one of my favorite side dishes as a kid, and it still remains one of my favorites today!
Spicy Korean Chex Mix
Have you ever had furikake chex mix? It’s so so good. I made it (using Justonecookbook’s recipe) as part of my Christmas cookie box last Christmas and so many of my friends raved about it. This led me to think of making my own version, but Korean! I drew inspiration from tteokbokki and decided to mirror its flavor profile.
Strawberry Matcha Pie
I love strawberry matcha lattes. Which led me to then think, wouldn’t it be great as a pie? So I decided to make a strawberry matcha pie! I made Four & Twenty Blackbirds’ matcha pie as a base and decided to top it with some delicious strawberry whipped cream. Since I paired it with strawberries, I added more matcha to contrast with the flavors better. A perfect recipe just in time for spring! :)
Pear Almond Tart
Pears and almonds are such a great combo. And they’re even more delicious when they’re placed inside a tart! I followed David Lebovitz’s recipe and I love the way that he makes his tart crust. It’s so quick and easy!
Triple Berry Cake
My grandma loved Sweet Lady Jane and their triple berry cake. And so did I! :D But ever since I heard that they suddenly closed down at the start of this year, I’ve been craving their signature cake even more! That’s why I decided to try making this cake from scratch on my own. I suck at making cakes and so I make so many mistakes whenever I make them. This recipe is just an attempt and my sharing of such an attempt! Haha. Hope you enjoy. :)
