Kitchen Scraps Chicken Broth
This broth will not be the best broth you ever taste. haha. Yet I like to make my broth this way, because it's quite easy and it doesn't take as long to make as other stocks. You also use up all your kitchen scraps that would otherwise go to the trash!
Oi Sobagi (cucumber kimchi)
I made some Oi Sobagi (오이소박이) which is a kimchi made with cucumber instead of the usual napa cabbage. My grandma would always make oi sobagi, so this dish is very dear to me because I am always reminded of her when I eat this kimchi.
Tuna and Sausage Kimbap
This is probably my third or fourth time making kimbap so I definitely am not a professional at it! I'm still trying to nail the rolling and squeezing technique and all haha. I love kimbap since it is so portable, making it such a great food to share!
Berry Galette
French galettes generally refer to any type of flat, round, or freeform crusty cake. In this case, I'm making galettes with fruit. I love making these as gifts for friends because not only are they extremely easy to make but they also look so pretty and rustic. All one requires is pie dough, fruit, sugar, and a thickener.
Earl Grey Pie
Have you ever had an earl grey pie? If you haven't and are a fan of anything earl grey flavored, then you definitely need to give this pie a try. It's the pie that my friends usually request for and is great for anytime but especially spring or summer!
Pie Dough
It’s pie dough! I prefer to use a food processor due to the ease of use and speed. Just a few pulses and the butter is incorporated into the flour! Pie dough is great due to the plethora of things you can make from it! Galettes, fruit pies, meat pies, cream pies, quiches. What do you like to make with pie dough?
Gochujang Caramel Cookies
I'm recreating Eric Kim's gochujang caramel cookies. I remember first seeing this recipe on NYT's cooking website and was so intrigued to try it.
Meskouta (Moroccan Orange Cake)
Orange you glad there’s some Meskouta today? haha. I found this Moroccan orange cake online and decided one day to try making it. I absolutely loved the refreshing hint of orange and balance of sweetness in this cake.
Aguadito De Pollo
I cooked some Aguadito de Pollo (Peruvian Chicken Soup) for the very first time. Let me know if there were some things I could have improved on. I didn't have Aji Amarillo and cumin on hand so I did not use those ingredients.
Roasted Brussels Sprouts
This is one of my go-to easy yet healthy meals that I enjoy. You can squeeze some lemon to add a touch of acid or sprinkle shredded cheese to make it a bit more decadent. Hot sauce is also a great addition.
